Ayia Napa is a famous coastal town in the far eastern end of the island of Cyprus. The name Ayia Napa (holy wooded valley) was taken from the Venetian Monastery found in the middle of town. Aside from its fine sandy beaches, the town is also famous for its nightlife. Now, not only is Ayia Napa a family holiday destination, it is also a global clubbing capital comparable only to Ibiza. Panas Tourist Village is also a beachfront accommodation, found in the famous Nissi Beach. They have 145 air conditioned studio type rooms and one bedroom apartments, all of which have balconies. Room facilities include: television, direct dial telephone, safe, a kitchenette with oven, and a small refrigerator. The beachside resort is proud of its modern Mediterranean design and atmosphere. They have both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a children’s pool, gym & fitness center, 2 tennis courts, a games room with billiards, a souvenir shop and a sauna. Room rate includes complimentary meals and drinks. The hotel’s restaurant, Arcadia, serves Cypriot and Greek cuisine as well as international dishes. Callisto Holiday Village

Callisto Holiday Village is another resort hotel in Nissi Beach, although it is nor beachfront. The sea is just 50 meters from the hotel. The hotel is big; they have 334 air conditioned apartments. All rooms have balconies, with blackout drapes, satellite television, direct dial telephone, tea / coffee making facilities and a mini bar. Rooms have kitchenettes with cookware, dishes, and a refrigerator. Room rates are either all inclusive or half-board – all inclusive rates come with meals and drinks. The design of Callisto is very Greek-inspired, with whitewashed buildings and arched walkways. Hotel amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, a children’s pool, a separate water sports pool and an indoor swimming pool. They also have their own spa with hot tub, massage treatment and a fitness room. The holiday village has a number of restaurants. For gourmet dishes you should try out Artemis Restaurant. Hesperides Restaurant on the other hand serves buffet breakfast and dinner – a taste of local Greek cuisine and international dishes. They also have a poolside bar that serves light snacks and drinks. In the lobby there’s a café that serves coffee, cakes, and cocktails. The name says it all. This beachfront resort hotel is found right on the beach and around 2 kilometers from the city center. There are 270 air conditioned guestrooms. All have balconies with either a sea and beach view or a landscaped garden view. Rooms have cable television, tea / coffee making facilities, safe and a mini bar. They have three restaurants: Ambrosia Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner buffets of international dishes, they have a veranda that offers a great view of their tropical garden; Nissi Tavern is al fresco that serves a la carte seafood and local specialties; lastly, the Bacchus Bar serves light snacks during the day and cocktails in the evening. Live bands also perform in Bacchus at night. During the summer months there are performances every night, including folk and dance shows. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool, and poolside bar. They also have a wellness center with gym and fitness equipment and a beauty salon – you can get a massage or beauty treatments. Sports activities include tennis, basketball, and mini golf. For kids, there’s a supervised section with children’s pool and playground. A section of Nissi Beach is reserved for hotel guests. Professional lessons are available for water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing and waterskiing. There’s also beach volleyball. The famous 16^th century Ayia Napa Monastery is found just two kilometers from Nissi Beach Hotel.

Asterias Beach Hotel

Asterias is found in Makronisso Beach, four kilometers from the monastery. They have 197 air conditioned guestrooms decorated with modern furnishings and light hues. The hotel is not beachfront, but Nissi Beach and Sandy Bay are only 200 meters from the premises. They have 148 studio and one bedroom apartments. All rooms have either a balcony or a terrace. Inside there’s satellite television, direct dial telephone, and a fully equipped kitchenette that has an oven, cooking rings, and a refrigerator. Room rates include complimentary breakfast. Lunches and dinners are served buffet style in the hotel’s restaurant. The resort has an outdoor landscaped swimming pool with sun terrace, loungers and parasols. They also have an indoor swimming pool. A great thing about Aktea is that they have free WiFi throughout the premises – hard to come by in Aiya Napa.
